Dresser Top Repair

Here is a dresser that a customer here in Orangevale inherited from his father.  Unfortunately, there is a damaged area in the polished looking finish.  If I had to guess, nail polish remover was the culprit.  The damage went to the wood, but did not remove any stain.

Here is the dresser and the damage photos I received.

Finish repairs are hard to capture with a camera.  To really capture the depth and beauty of a finish, you have to move around the piece allowing light to show the lack of flaws.  So I tried to capture the repair.

 

This next photo is of a matching night stand that had similar damage on the corner.  I didn’t get a picture of the damage, but here is the finished repair.
