Bed from Maine

Every piece of furniture has a story that begins somewhere.  This bed appears to have been built in Lewiston, Maine by BC&Co.  Does anyone recognize the name?

And it now resides in CA!

I couldn’t find much on BC&Co online, but we at least know this piece traveled a long ways in it’s many years of use.  The story that each piece has is what gives each one it’s value, whether to the family it belonged to, or to the general public who would place value on a piece that was used in the White House for example.  With proper repair (when needed) and maintenance, these old pieces will easily outlast the newer furniture you buy today.
